Jean Paul Gaultier S/S 2014 PFW
Jean Paul Gaultier turned his Spring 2014 runway into a full-fledged dance floor and enlisted models and dancers to fill the stage with movement. Coco Rocha, who famously danced an Irish jig down Gaultier’s Fall 2007 runway, reprised her role in this show, for which she and another model re-created the final musical number from Grease.
Gaultier called this show Saturday Night Fever, and the invitation said in colorful letters, “Let’s Dance With The Stars.” The stage even included a facsimile of the judges’ panel from the popular TV show, complete with models holding up signs that said “OMG!” when good looks or moves passed by..

Femen protest at Nina Ricci S/S 2014 PFW
The biggest shock of Paris’s spring-summer 2014 fashion shows came on the otherwise calm and gentle Nina Ricci catwalk, when two topless activists from protest group Femen crashed the podium.
Grabbing a startled model making her way down the catwalk, they screamed “fashion fascism,” with words decrying the sexualization of the modeling industry written in make-up. One had “Fashion dictaterror” scrawled on her naked torso, the other “Model don’t go to brothel.”
