Versace S\S 2013 MFW

Shocker…Versace’s newest collection, is unsurprisingly stellar. Once again going along with a common theme this season, Versace drew inspiration what looks like from the natural world. From the earthy blues, greens and sunshine tones to the flowing fabrics, floral prints and grass like fringe, there were thematic undertones in every look.

Once again Versace attributed to it’s Italian roots with the high and dramatic gladiator sandals and heels, featured in almost every look. These really complemented each piece and made for a dramatic effect that is truly Versace.

Something unexpected that we haven’t seen a lot of this season was the bright jewel tones that Versace did not shy away from. A wide variety of brilliant blues, reds, oranges and fuchsias were present all across the runway, which really helped this collection to stand apart from the rest..

Many of the looks in this collection radiate a bohemian element that is extremely untypical of Versace. For the garments put forth, this thematic idea really worked. The widely jeweled garments and the long flowing belts all injected some couture glam into the typical hippie outfit.
